Hiring workflows

Inbound & outbound email

Forward resumes to your workspace inbox. Otter parses attachments and creates candidates and applications. Outbound recruiter email uses Resend when configured.

Inbound addresses

Each workspace owns an inbox on applications.otter.diy:

  • acme@applications.otter.diy — general applications
  • acme+eng-001@applications.otter.diy — routed to job code eng-001

What happens on receive

  1. Webhook verifies the provider (Cloudflare Worker preferred; Postmark optional) and stores the raw message.
  2. Attachments land in object storage (R2 when configured).
  3. Resume text is extracted and parsed (LLM when a key is set; otherwise heuristics).
  4. Candidate + application rows are created; duplicates match on email/phone when present.

Outbound email

When Resend is configured, recruiters can email candidates from the profile. Reply-To uses a reply+token address so replies attach to the thread. Sequences and Gmail/Outlook sync remain on the roadmap.
